Neuschwanstein Country - Bavarian castle country situated at the Romantic Road: Numerous Castles and Citadels often as ruins are nestled in this beautiful landscape. From the rich citadel ruin Ehrenberg in Reutte south up to castle ruin Eisenberg north just at the end of the autobahn A7, you enter geographically as well as historically interesting ground. Aside of the well-known Kings castles in Schwangau you find also many historic castle ruins which often are still in great shape. The historically interested traveler may trace the development of these buildings.

Many of the named places are under restoration. Summer courses in restoration are held. So that they get alive after long time being dormant.

On top of this variety of historical buildings you may experience the treasures of the local kitchen. Often you find the best local restaurant addresses closes to ancient walls of these places. Event weddings are held here as a special service to our visitors.
